Home Design

We have changed our designs in response to community feedback:

  • Homes will be modern and similar to other new private developments.
  • Homes will be designed to be more comfortable in winter and summer, so residents will spend less on heating and cooling.
  • There will be a wide mix of attractive housing types for all ages and types of families.
  • Most homes will have access to a private yard or balcony, and the layout of homes will make the most of this outdoor space.
  • Apartments and homes without a yard will be close to parks.
  • Privacy and access to sunlight will be a top priority in housing and yard design
  • We have used water sensitive design, and natural gas will be provided to all homes with outdoor points to meet cultural needs.
  • All homes will have lockable car spaces, garages or carport. Most homes will have space for two family cars on the property.
  • All homes will have lockable storage for outdoor equipment, mostly as part of the garage or carport.
  • Separate toilets have been provided for homes with three or more bedrooms.
  • Both ground floor and upper storey homes will have private drying areas and clothes lines.
